Information:
I am a Reasearch Associate at Canadian Rivers Institute, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton (faculty member at the Department of Biology). I am a co-lead in the Mactaquac Aquatic Ecosystem Study (MAES), a multidisciplinary research group examining the Saint John River, and the future of the Mactaquac Dam. Career in a nutshell: 2013 --> Research Associate: Canadian Rivers Institute, University of New Brunswick; Canada 2012-2013 Senior Aquatic Scientist: Stantec (Environmental Services), Canada 2009-2012 Postdoctoral Fellow: Canadian Rivers Institute, University of New Brunswick; Canada 2008-2009 Research Scientist: SINTEF Energy Research, Water Resources; Norway 2003-2007 Ph.D. candidate: University of New Brunswick, Dep. of Biology; Canada 1998-2003 B.Sc. and M.Sc. candidate: University of Helsinki, Dep. of Environmental Sciences and Limnology (Fisheries Science major); Finland Along the way, I have also worked at the following organizations (during my university studies) : 1999, 2001, 2002 Finnish Game and Fisheries Research Institute 2000 Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources In addition to curricular activitites, I also keep myself busy as a father of 3 children (born 2001, 2005 and 2011) and a spouse of 1 wondeful lady (born 19xx)!
